July 2026 Visa Bulletin: USCIS keeps Final Action Dates for EB filings; EB-2 and EB-5 India go unavailable for the rest of FY2026

The State Department published the July 2026 Visa Bulletin on June 2, and USCIS is again requiring the Final Action Dates chart for all employment-based adjustment-of-status filings — the third month in a row. EB-2 India and EB-5 (Unreserved) India are now Unavailable for the remainder of FY2026 after India reached its pro-rated limits. EB-1 India retrogresses about two months while EB-1 China and EB-3 China advance.

The State Department published the July 2026 Visa Bulletin on June 2, 2026, and USCIS confirmed it will use the Final Action Dates (FAD) chart — not the Dates for Filing chart — for all employment-based adjustment-of-status filings in July 2026, the third consecutive month it has done so.

The headline change is in the India employment-based categories: EB-2 India and EB-5 Unreserved India are now listed as Unavailable (U) for the remainder of fiscal year 2026. The State Department attributes this to high demand and number use by applicants chargeable to India reaching those categories' pro-rated annual limits; the categories are expected to reopen at the start of FY2027 in October.

Elsewhere in the EB chart: EB-1 India retrogresses about two months to October 15, 2022, while EB-1 China advances to June 1, 2023. EB-3 China advances by roughly five months. EB-2 China holds at September 1, 2021, and worldwide EB-1, EB-2, and EB-5 Unreserved remain current. Family-sponsored categories saw only minor movement this month; refer to the bulletin directly for the current cutoffs.

Why it matters here

If your priority date is in EB-2 or EB-5 India, an Unavailable listing means no I-485 can be filed and no case can reach final action in those categories until at least October 2026. CasePredictor pulls the July movement directly into the Visa Bulletin tracker and the ETA Calculator's composite EB timeline — when a category goes Unavailable, the calculator surfaces the projected wait until numbers become available again rather than a false near-term estimate.
